COMEX 2012

Muscat, Oman:

Liberty Port’s MENA sales team attended COMEX 2012 from April 30th to May 4th at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Muscat. This year’s exhibition featured more than 150 vendors and 80,000 visitors from around the Middle Eastern Business region. As one of the most most recognized and established information-communication technology (ICT) exhibitions in the world, COMEX is always an important event for Liberty Port. Prior to the exhibition there will be a two day roundtable discussion on pressing issues such as how to utilize ICT to promote entrepreneurship, enhance skills, and to create a culture of innovation and competitiveness.

Members of our enterprise division will be looking for the latest cutting-edge technologies in the field of ICT and best practices to implement e-learning for some of our existing customers. For many technology professionals ICT is an evolving trend within the industry and majority of the emerging college graduates do not have experience utilizing the various platforms involved. To better prepare this future workforce, COMEX is looking at ways to address the shortage of local talent within the field and create programs to help current students and young professionals expand their knowledge of ICT solutions.
