Increase in Global PON Sales

Liberty Port’s Carrier Class Sales Division has seen a large increase in operator spending on PON: Passive Optical Network Equipment throughout the Middle East and Western European Countries. In order to better position our sales team to accommodate the growing demand for GPON or Gigabit PON Solutions, LP has formulated strategic alliances with some of the leading providers within the field.

Technical analysts Mark Robuck and Jeff Heynen commented on the growing demand for PON solutions in a recently published article by CED Magazine. Some of their analytical observations are included below:

According to Mark Robuck’s, Report: PON spending rallies broadband equipment market Overall, “the global broadband aggregation market, which includes PON, FTTH and DSL equipment, grew 6 percent sequentially in the second quarter of 2013 to $1.6 billion”.

Principal Analyst for Broadband Access at Infonetics Research, Jeff Heynen released a report on global broadband spending saying, “Thanks to increases in PON equipment spending across the globe—particularly Gigabit PON (GPON)—the broadband aggregation equipment market bounced back in the second quarter”. Growth will continue as operators begin to deploy fiber-to-the-building or (FTTB) keeping leading manufacturers busy.
