TV Connect Africa

TV Connect Africa

Cape Town, South Africa:

After the previous goal to migrate Africa to a digital platform fell short of international expectations, world leaders within the IPTV Industry are converging at TV Connect Africa to help solve the demand for wide spread connectivity. Majority of the professionals within the IPTV or OTT iniative, believe that the primary struggle with connecting Africa was due to the lack of fixed network infrastructure. This problem forced operators and service providers to rely solely on a mobile platform, which was also in its infant stages within most of the African nations.

To date, only 4 out of 59 countries have met the international standard to provide nationwide broadcasting to customers. Liberty Port will send an international delegation to the conference to listen to industry leaders such as ZTE’s Reuven Elmalem, and Simbarashe Mabasha, Director of Afrikan Dust Media Group, speak about the growing need for additional content and technical resources in Africa. Exhibitors at the conference include internationally renonwed manufacturers such as, XCRYPT, KAONMEDIA, and GOTECH INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY.
