Medical Device Development and Manufacturing Expo Osaka is one of the major trade shows in the field of medical device manufacturing technologies. The field of medical sciences is making  great inroads for research to facilitate new kinds of treatments for patients all over the world. In 2015, Liberty Port has adopted a long-term initiative in bringing international medical device manufacturers to the United States. One key area for growth will be in Nashville, Tennessee which is currently regarded as the Health Care Industry Capital, contributing an overall economic benefit of nearly $30 billion and more than 200,000 jobs to the local economy annually. Globally, Nashville’s health care industry generates more than $70 billion in revenue and more than 400,000 jobs.

Liberty Port hopes to develop a strong synergy between current health care and technology providers to introduce technological advancements in the telehealth sector. Healthcare information and communications technologies (ICTs) witnessed rapid development in recent years. Medical institutions and healthcare departments are increasingly interested in developing an electronic health record–based (EHR-based) regional healthcare information network (RHIN) to enable unified and efficient service collaboration, network interconnection, and information sharing.
